CCSP is comprised of three components:
Courses
CCSP's courses vary year to year. Each semester, students will enroll in all substantive courses offered. First year students will also attend a weekly lecture series each term. Finally, although no Chinese language proficiency is required to enter the program, all students must take at least one semester of Chinese language class.

Visits
Each spring semester first-year students visit approximately ten government organizations, research institutions, enterprises, and sites in the Chinese countryside to gain a greater appreciation for contemporary Chinese life. Previous destinations have included the China Institute of International Studies, the Shougang Group, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, SINA Corporation, and Zhongguancun Hitech Zone in Beijing.
Master’s Thesis
In the second year each student conducts independent research and defends a dissertation of roughly 10,000 words in length before a faculty committee. Students work closely with their faculty mentors to define a focused topic and research process.
Entry Requirements
1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport and under 40 years old
2. Hold a Bachelor degree or above
3. With recommendations of two associate professors or higher, providing a certificate of competence in English

2. Passport-sized photo
A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.
3. Bachelor's degree diploma
Graduation certificate should be in Chinese or English.If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized.
4. Transcript of undergraduate school
5. Two recommendation letters(optional)
From professor,associate professor or equivalents.
6. Certificate of English proficiency test
IELTS or TOEFl will only be required if the applicant is not a native English speaker.
7. Personal Statement
Personal Statement with the applicant's signature, written in Chinese or in English. You can download a template or sample from here.
8. Copies of article or papers published
Sample copies of published academic articles, awards or other research outputs
9. Resume
Personal academic and working experience, research achievements, research plan, personal aim after graduation, etc.
