Program Description

The International Master of Public Administration and Policy Degree (IMPAP) is designed for English speaking individuals who are interested in more in-depth understanding of China's governance, its public policy, its reform, and its future administrative prospects. The degree program will also enable a career network that can help enhancing international students' career opportunities in China and China related jobs in other areas of the world. The Program in RUC is a platform for international students to learn about China's governance, its past lessons and experiences in administrative reform and public policy, and its future prospects. It is an opportunity for this group of people to come together to discuss the China they know, and enhance their understanding of China beyond the level of superficial empirical experiences. The academic strengths of Renmin's School of Public Administration and its social and administrative embeddedness gave the School a unique edge in providing education to students who are interested in learning about China's administrative reform, in cultivating talents for China's future governance, and in engaging the international community to learn about and participate in China's further development. We welcome international friends as well as individuals from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan to our program. Courses include but not limited to: Chinese Government; Public Policy in China; Nonprofit Organizations inChina; Comparative Public Administration; NPO in China China's Macro-Economic Policy; Public Finance in China; Financial Markets in China Urban Planning in China; Land Resources Planning and Management in China; Real Estate Markets and Policies in China Human Resources and Organizational Management in China; Labor Market in China; Social Security Policy in China; China's Healthcare System Reform; Educational Policy and Development in China. Entry Requirements

1.English-speaking individuals interested in China's development from around the world

2.Bachelor degree or above

3.With recommendations of two associate professors or higher

4.Providing a certificate of competence in English

5.Under 40 years old.

A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.

3.  Bachelor's degree diploma
Graduation certificate should be in Chinese or English.If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized.

4.  Transcript of undergraduate school

5. Two recommendation letters(optional)
From professor,associate professor or equivalents.

6.  Certificate of English proficiency test
IELTS or TOEFl will only be required if the applicant is not a native English speaker.

7.  Personal Statement
