I.  Educational Objectives

In the major, we have the professional training of humanities and social science literacy in the field of computer science and technology, that are required in the field of computer science and technology disciplines. Students should have a solid theoretical foundation, practical ability and creative spirit, the coordinated development of knowledge, ability, and quality. He/she can be engaged in the computer science and technology, computer application system design or development work, senior engineering and technical personnel with strong competitiveness, teaching and management personnel relative to computer science and technology.

II.  Graduation Requirements

Knowledge structure: the students should have a good basic knowledge of natural science and social science, the scientific world outlook and methodology of higher education; have the solid mathematics, physics and other basic theory; possess the quality of computer science and technology; and have comprehensive application of the professional knowledge. Ability: the ability to obtain new knowledge structure of computer science and technology; analyze and solve problems in computer field. Quality: good quality of humanistic social science, social responsibility and occupation moral; with a rigorous scientific attitude and style of study; engineering literacy and information literacy.

III. Professional Core Courses

Introduction of Computer Science, Discrete Mathematics, C++ Programming, Data Structures, Basis of Electronic Technique, Digital Circuit and Digital Logic, Principles of Computer Organization, Operating Systems, Principle of Computer Networks, Principles of Database Systems, Software Engineering

1.18-25 years old and hold a minimum of high school diploma, in good health.

2. Requirements of programs taught in Chinese: HSK4 achieve 180 or above; for those fail to meet the entry requirements (HSK4), after passing the written examination and interview from ZJUT, they will receive one year’s conditional admission, students should pass HSK4 during the one year or they will be regarded as quit. Some majors related to Chinese language and culture require HSK5 or above. Applicants whose compulsory courses were taught in Chinese during secondary education (junior and senior high school) can be exempt from submitting HSK certificate.

3. Requirements of programs taught in English: 1) Native English Speaker or English as official language, 2) IELTS 5.5/TOEFL 60, 3) Instructed in English at high school 4) Other English Language Competence are accepted by our university.

1. Application form with ID photo (fill in online).

2. Photocopy of passport and all the visa pages.

3. Highest education certificate. Graduating students can provide pre-graduation Certificate. The original graduation certificate or notarized copy should be submitted before registration.

4. Transcripts for all the courses in highest education school.

5. Language proficiency certificates. Applicants for Chinese-taught programs must provide the photocopy of HSK certificate. Applicants for English-taught programs must provide grade report of TOEFL or IELTS test, or other proof which can reflect the applicants’ English proficiency (Not required for English native speakers).

6. Health certificate (within 6 month).
