II. Entry RequirementsActuarial Science is a discipline that uses mathematical and statistical models to solve problems in insurance and finance. Students will take courses in mathematics, statistics, economics, and finance as part of the degree program. This program will provide students the opportunity to acquire the quantitative and business skills with a solid knowledge of Chinese Culture.
The student of this program should obtain the following knowledge and techniques:
1. Mastering the fundamental knowledge, theories and techniques of statistics and financial actuarial science; 2. Having the capabilities of analysis and problem solving skills; 3. Knowing the development and trend in the statistics and actuarial science discipline; 4. Having the ability in document searching, data querying and thesis writing; 5. Having a good command of application English and professional English; 6. Attaining in humanities & art, cooperative and organizational skills.
