1. Educational Objectives
The aim of specialty in Logistics is to train senior professional talents who are equipped with profound knowledge and quality of analysis, design and operations management of modern logistics system and supply chain system, together with necessary knowledge of natural science and social science, and with the capability of applying knowledge and scientific tools to solve practical problems, also with the strong competence to engage in scientific research, management decision and operation service. Besides, these talents are required to have innovation consciousness, practical ability, good communication, and competitiveness to adapt to the development of logistics.
2. Educational Requirements
Students majoring in Logistics mainly study the fundamental theories and knowledge of economics, business administration, logistics management and engineering, management science and engineering, and transportation engineering. The key is to receive basic training of methods and techniques of supply chain design, logistics system optimization, and logistics engineering. And they are supposed to master good abilities of analyzing and solving problems in the above mentioned fields.
The graduates should obtain the following knowledge or abilities:
1. Master comprehensive knowledge of humanities and social science, natural science, computer science and technology, etc.
2. Master fundamental theories and knowledge of economics, business administration, logistics management and engineering, management science and engineering, transportation engineering, etc.
3. Master basic skills of supply chain design, logistics system optimization, logistics information design and logistics operation management, and have the practical ability of logistics management.
4. Have broad international vision, and be familiar with standards, policies, laws and regulations about the technology, economics and management of supply chain and logistics.
5. Possess the knowledge of development status and trends about the theories and related industries of supply chain and logistics, and have the knowledge of advanced operation modes of enterprise-logistics and logistics enterprises.
6. Obtain abilities of acquiring and applying knowledge, including self-learning, expression, professional practice and comprehensive skills of using professional knowledge to discover, analyze and solve problems.
7. Obtain abilities of innovation, including critical thinking, creative thinking, innovation practices, entrepreneurship, scientific research and technology development.
