TheMechanical Design-Manufacturing and Automationmajor was developedfrom themajor ofForest Lumbering Engineering,and started to recruit students with its new name since 2003. Through years of construction and development, it isbecomingone of the majorswithmost solid educational foundation, and forming characteristicsin personnel training, scientific research, and discipline construction. Talents cultivated have made important contributions to the development of agro-forestry equipment R&D in Zhejiang province and across the country.

Themajorhas been entitled asSchoolLevelKeyMajor,ProvincialLevelKeyMajoras well asProvincial Characteristic Specialty and Key Major.It hasdeveloped advantagesintalent cultivationin the fields of Electron-mechanicalintegration technology and Intelligent agro-forestry equipment design.The mechanical engineering disciplinary areas emphasized are design, manufacturing, optimization, dynamic systems and control, materials processing and mechanics inagro-forestryindustry.

The mechanical engineering curriculum at Zhejiang A&F University is dedicated to preparing students for productive careers in a wide range of industries, include agricultural/engineering equipment, manufacturing, production design, teaching and technical management in the province, nation and around the world, and has the following objectives:

1. Applicants should be aged between 18 and 28

2.Applicant should be non-Chinese citizens with valid regular foreign passport and be friendly to China; 

*Residents of China who have emigrated to a foreign country and who are now applying to study in China as international students must have held a valid foreign passport for at least 4 years, and must have actually resided in a foreign country for at least 2 years in the past 4 years. (9 months of residence in a foreign country may count as a full year. The dates of the entry and exit stamps in the passport will be followed in the determination of the actual length of foreign residence).

For the students who have never studied in China：

1.The Photocopy of Passport (the main page and the page with signature)    

2.Translated and notarized copy of final degree or diploma and transcript

3.Language proficiency certificate

4.Non-criminal record or Chinese/English-translated document with an official stamp.

6.Foreigner physical examination form: bearing the stamp of the hospital. Physical examination results are valid for 6 months
