Zhejiang University of Technology has a long history of education and training of international students, which can be traced back to 1954. After the reform and opening up, the university was approved by the Ministry of Education in 1994 to undertake the task of training international students in China; In 2010, the university became a recipient of Chinese government scholarships for international students. In 2012, the University took internationalization as one of the four strategies for the development of the university, comprehensively promoted the process of internationalization, issued the "Action Plan for Studying Abroad", set up undergraduate majors taught in English, and the number of international students increased significantly. In 2017, it became the recipient of the "Silk Road" government scholarship; In 2022, it successfully passed the higher education quality certification for international students in China. The university is currently the vice chairman unit of the Foreign Students Education Management Branch of the Chinese Society of Higher Education, the council member unit of the China Education International Exchange Association, the chairman unit of the Foreign Students Education Management Branch of the Zhejiang Higher Education Association, the vice chairman unit of the Zhejiang International Students Education and Teaching Steering Committee, and the construction unit of the first batch of international students' national conditions education master studios in Zhejiang Province. So far, the university has trained nearly 10,000 international students in China.
The University actively builds the brand of "Study Abroad Engineering University", adheres to the work idea of "seeking development by student source, establishing brand by quality, and retaining people's hearts by service", builds a scientific and efficient international student management model that conforms to the situation of the university, actively carries out the "International major and international curriculum system construction plan", promotes the construction of international teaching system, and improves the education level of overseas students in China. Improve the training quality of international students in China. The university has established 14 undergraduate programs and 11 master and doctoral programs taught in English, which have become the main body of the teaching and training system for international students in China, and the English-taught majors have undertaken more than 90% of the training tasks for international students. In addition, 46 national first-class majors, 14 provincial first-class majors and 22 postgraduate majors taught in Chinese are also open to international students. Up to now, the university has a total of 1034 international students, including 152 postgraduate students. The top six majors in terms of the number of international students in China are computer science and technology, international economics and trade, electrical engineering and automation, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, software engineering, etc. The school also has a complete non-academic Chinese language training system, training more than 600 foreign language students every year.
The University will continue to adhere to the international student education policy of "controlling the scale, optimizing the structure, standardizing the management, and improving the quality", improve the system and mechanism of studying in China, innovate the talent training mode, enhance the education level, build a multi-level and multi-type scholarship system, improve the student structure, and increase the proportion of postgraduates studying abroad. 1.The applicant, who is between18-25 years old, has graduated from high school, has achieved above level 4(including) in HSK can apply for programs taught in Chinese.
2.The high school graduate without certificate of HSK can apply for our Try-out Courses after approval by interview, the validity of trial period is one year.

2) IELTS5.5 or TOEFL 60; or
3) Studied courses taught in English in high school or college; or
4) English level admitted by ZJUT.
