Based on the location advantage near Shanghai and with the help of Nantong's open and developed private economy, the International Economics and Trade major has trained a large number of professional research and teaching backbone teachers, established a wide range of international trade teaching and practice bases, and trained and transported a large number of high-quality international trade talents for the local and Yangtze River Delta economic integration development.

This major is committed to cultivating practical and innovative economic and trade professionals with excellent quality and market demand, innovative spirit and flexible ability.

With a reasonable academic team, strong scientific research ability and high degree of internationalization, the major has formed a full-time teaching team of 45 people (excluding Chinese language and culture teachers) who focus on undergraduate education and attach equal importance to scientific research. Among them, 68.89% have senior titles of associate professor or above, 73.33% have a doctor's degree, and 75.56% have industry experience. 82.2% have overseas study or visiting experience.

In the past three years, International Economics and Trade has been ranked among the top 40% in the country in the professional ranking of Wu Shulian.

 It is a key undergraduate major of Nantong University (2010-2013) and a national first-class undergraduate major construction point (2021), with academic master's degree in Applied Economics and Master's degree in International Business. 

"International Trade Course" won the Yasuzuke International Trade Award; "Management Accounting based on Zhiyi Financial and Tax Platform" and "VBSE cross-professional Practice Curriculum Optimization Course Package" were approved by the Ministry of Education for industry-learning collaborative education projects; "Virtual Simulation Experiment of Manufacturing Enterprise Operation Optimization Based on Management Accounting" was selected as the first batch of first-class courses in the country.

9. Applicants for doctoral and master's degrees are required to provide two letters of recommendation from the pre-qualification school (the recommendation date is less than 6 months before the application date) and the research plan;

10. Previous graduates are required to provide evidence of relevant experience from the highest degree to the present.
