Public administration is an interdisciplinary subject that studies the laws governing the management activities of the government and public sectors. It focuses on the decision-making, organization, implementation and evaluation of public affairs, aiming to enhance the efficiency of public services and optimize policy effectiveness through scientific methods. Its core covers theories from multiple disciplines such as political science, economics, sociology, law and management, aiming to cultivate compound talents with the ability to analyze public policies, operate and manage public sectors, and innovate in social governance. The major emphasizes the integration of theory and practice, addressing practical issues such as social security, urban governance, public health, and emergency management, and serving the demands of modernizing the national governance system and governance capacity.

(1) Good physical and mental health, and must meet the physical examination standards for applying for a study visa or residence permit to China.

(2) Applicants for a bachelor's degree should have the equivalent academic qualifications of a high school graduate, excellent academic performance, and generally no more than 25 years old. Applicants for a master's degree should hold a bachelor's degree or have equivalent academic qualifications, have excellent academic performance, and generally be no older than 35 years old. Applicants for a doctoral degree should hold a master's degree or have equivalent academic qualifications, have excellent academic performance, and generally be no older than 40 years old.

(3) Be friendly to China, diligent and eager to learn, have excellent academic performance, good conduct, abide by laws and regulations, have no record of violating school rules and regulations, no public security penalties, and no criminal records. Applicants for a Master of Public Administration degree must have at least three years of study or work experience related to the "Public Administration" major, and must be government officials at the department level or above, leaders of academic institutions at the department head level or above, or administrative personnel of equivalent rank.

(4) Language proficiency requirements

For applications to Chinese-taught programs: Applicants for a bachelor's degree should, in principle, achieve a Chinese proficiency of at least 180 points in HSK Level 3. Applicants for master's and doctoral degrees should, in principle, achieve at least 180 points in the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) Level 4. Admission Requirements: The applicant's Chinese proficiency for admission should, in principle, reach a score of 180 or above in HSK Level 5. Applicants who have obtained a degree from a Chinese university using Chinese as the medium of instruction can submit a "Certificate of Teaching in Chinese" issued by their school. After being recognized by our university, they will be exempted from submitting the HSK score certificate.Application for English-taught programs: If your native language is not English, you must submit proof of TOEFL (TOEFL iBT score of 79 or above, with each section score of 15 or above) or IELTS (IELTS Academic score of 6.5 or above, with each section score of 5.5 or above) or other proof that can reflect your English proficiency. Applicants who have used English as the medium of instruction can submit a "Certificate of English Teaching" issued by their school. After being recognized by our school, they will be exempted from submitting the certificate of English proficiency.
