Professional Overview: Pediatrics is an important secondary discipline of clinical medicine. Some graduates will also enter schools, communities and government agencies to engage in work related to children's health. In addition, the demand for pediatric science professionals from private clinics and family doctors is also gradually increasing.

Employment prospects: According to the data, the number of graduates majoring in pediatrics from regular colleges and universities across the country is 2,000 to 2,500. There is a shortage of pediatricians nationwide, and the employment situation for graduates majoring in pediatrics is good. The national graduate employment rate maintained an upward trend in 2021-2022, increasing from 81% to 93%. However, in 2023, the employment rate slightly declined compared to the previous year, ranging from 82% to 87%. Overall, the employment rate was at a medium to high level.
