Professional Overview
Journalism and communication studies are interdisciplinary fields that study the laws of information dissemination, the operation mechanisms of media, and their social impacts. Journalism focuses on news production, dissemination and public opinion guidance, and pays attention to fact collection, writing and editing. Communication studies explore information transmission models (such as interpersonal communication, organizational communication, and mass communication) from a broader perspective, and investigate the interactive relationship between media and society, culture, and politics. The two have deeply integrated in the digital age, forming a discipline cluster of "journalism and communication", which combines theoretical speculation and practical innovation attributes. For instance, it analyzes the impact of short-video platforms on the public opinion ecosystem or explores how algorithmic recommendations shape the information cocoon.
