Pediatrics is an important branch of clinical medicine, with the growth and development, disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment of children and adolescents aged 0-18 as its core. The course focuses on the physical, psychological and social development characteristics of children, emphasizing the differences between pediatric diseases and adult diseases (such as immature immune systems and special medication dosages), and cultivating students' abilities in diagnosing and treating common pediatric diseases, rescuing critically ill patients and managing children's health care. At the same time, it establishes the humanistic care concept of "child-centered".
1. Not of Chinese nationality but holding a valid foreign passport.
And there is a record of having actually resided abroad for more than two years within the last four years (up to April 30 of the admission year).
2. Be in good physical and mental health and meet the physical examination standards for applying for a study visa or residence permit to China.
3. Age and educational requirements:
(1) Master's degree candidates: Under 35 years old, with a degree equivalent to a bachelor's degree from a Chinese university.
(2) Doctoral candidates: Under 40 years old, with a degree equivalent to a master's degree from a Chinese university.
4. Diligent and eager to learn, with good academic performance, upright conduct, abiding by laws and regulations, no record of violating school rules and regulations, no record of public security penalties, and no criminal record.
5. Language proficiency requirements:
Chinese-taught programs: Proof of HSK Level 5 (with a score of no less than 180) or other equivalent Chinese proficiency test results is required.
For English-taught programs, applicants whose native language is not English must have proof of IELTS Academic (with no less than 6.5 in each section), TOEFL (with no less than 90 in IBT and no less than 20 in each section), or other equivalent English test scores. Applicants whose native language is English or whose highest academic degree was taught entirely in English may be exempted from the English test score certificate, but they must submit a certificate of English teaching issued by their graduating school.
1. Scanned copy of the information page of the valid passport;
2 Highest academic degree certificate. Fresh graduates should submit the expected graduation certificate (original scanned copy and English translation). After being pre-admitted, fresh graduates must submit their academic degree certificates to obtain the admission qualification.
3 Transcripts of all courses in the highest academic education stage (original scanned copies and English translations);
4. Study Plan in China Written in Chinese (for those applying for programs taught in Chinese) or English (for those applying for programs taught in English); The content includes personal study and work experiences, academic research achievements, research plans during the master's or doctoral stage, further education plans, and personal development goals after graduation, etc. Master's students should have no less than 1,000 words and doctoral students no less than 1,500 words.
5 Two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors, which must be original in either Chinese or English (including signatures and contact information);
6. Pre-admission letter from the Supervisor of Southern Medical University
7. A list of published papers, abstracts, or other materials that can prove one's research ability;
8. Id photo (2-inch bareheaded photo with a blue background)
9 Self-introduction video in English or Chinese (3-5 minutes, no more than 50M);
10. A scanned copy of the "Physical Examination Record for Foreigners" (please keep the original for yourself), which must be filled out in either Chinese or English.

Scanned copies of the "International Student Financial Guarantee Form" and its guarantee materials, which must be filled out in either Chinese or English, and provide a deposit certificate sufficient to cover reasonable expenses such as study, living, and international travel during their study in China (the deposit amount should be no less than 150,000 RMB). And a scanned copy of the passport or identity document of the financial guarantor (only a relative of the applicant) (to be provided by applicants for self-funded projects).

When necessary, our school may require applicants to submit supplementary materials.
Whether admitted or not, all the above materials will not be returned.
