I. Professional Overview

Stomatology is an important branch of the medical field, mainly focusing on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of oral and maxillofacial diseases. It covers multiple directions such as endodontic diseases, periodontal diseases, prosthodontics, orthodontics and oral and maxillofacial surgery. This major integrates medicine, biology, materials science and engineering technology, aiming to maintain oral health through clinical diagnosis and treatment, preventive health care and other means. At the same time, it involves cross-disciplinary fields such as facial aesthetic restoration and functional reconstruction. It is an applied major with a high degree of combination of theory and practice.

Ii. Training Objectives

Cultivate high-quality medical talents with solid medical basic theories, systematic professional knowledge of stomatology and proficient clinical operation skills. Students are required to master the diagnosis, treatment and prevention methods of oral diseases, possess the skills of doctor-patient communication, clinical thinking and scientific research innovation awareness, and be able to engage in oral clinical medical treatment, teaching, scientific research and preventive health care in medical and health institutions, research institutes, educational units, etc. At the same time, they should abide by medical ethics and conduct, and fulfill the mission of oral health services under the "Healthy China" strategy.

All Chinese and other foreign students (non-Chinese citizens) who have a high school diploma or equivalent educational attainment, are at least 18 years old but no more than 25 years old, have good conduct, no criminal record, and are in good physical and mental health are eligible to apply for Jinan University.

1. [Application Form] "Application Form for Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Overseas Chinese, Chinese and Other Foreign Students of Jinan University and Huaqiao University" Log in to the application system, complete the application and print it out (with your signature attached).

2. [Passport] The student's own passport (if currently in China, the most recent valid Chinese visa page and entry and exit record stamp must also be provided).

3. [Graduation Certificate] and [Transcript] (Note ①, ②)

Graduation certificates or academic qualifications of high school or above, transcripts of each academic year issued by the graduating high school, and transcripts of internationally recognized standardized tests (if available, provide such as SAT/ACT/A-Level/AP/IB, etc.).

4. [Language Proficiency Proof] HSK or IELTS, TOEFL score certificates, etc. (The scores are valid within two years).

5. [Personal Statement] Self-introduction, past study experience and study plan in China.

6. [Recommendation Letter] One letter, which can be recommended by our overseas admissions office, local overseas Chinese communities, well-known figures in the overseas Chinese community, or the high school where the student graduated.

7. [Physical Examination Report] If you are applying for a medical-related program at our school, you also need to provide a physical examination report within the last six months. The template for the physical examination report is attached as the "Physical Examination Form".

8. The date of issuance of the "Certificate of No Criminal Record" should be within six months before the registration date.

9. [Other Materials] According to the "Notice of the Ministry of Education on Regulating the Relevant Work of Accepting International Students in Our Higher Education Institutions" (Jiaowai Han [2020] No. 12),

② Proof of the applicant's acquisition of foreign nationality; ③ The applicant's entry and exit records for the past four years (up to April 30, 2025).

(2) For applicants who acquired foreign nationality at birth abroad, if one or both of their parents are Chinese citizens, they need to provide ① proof that the applicant acquired foreign nationality at birth; ② Proof of permanent residence of the applicant's parents (Chinese citizens) in a foreign country before birth; ③ The applicant's entry and exit records for the past four years (up to April 30, 2025).
