Professional Overview: This program mainly studies the basic knowledge and skills related to the working principles, structures, and designs of Marine electronic and electrical equipment, covering fields such as electrical technology, electronic technology, control technology, computer control, and network technology. It is commonly used in the Marine transportation industry for maritime operations.

Training objective: Cultivate individuals with solid engineering and technical skills, cultural literacy, and a strong sense of social responsibility. They should have a good grasp of the basic theories, specialized knowledge, and fundamental skills in the field of transportation, be innovative, entrepreneurial, and practical, possess an international perspective, and be capable of engaging in planning and design, technology development and application, operation management, operation organization, and business management in the transportation sector. As well as high-quality specialized talents engaged in related work in education, scientific research and other departments.

Curriculum System: The curriculum system is divided into three parts: general knowledge, basic knowledge of disciplines, and professional knowledge. General education courses generally include liberal arts and social sciences, foreign languages, computer and information technology, etc. The basic knowledge of disciplines generally includes mathematics, mechanics, economics, management, etc. Professional knowledge generally includes circuit principles, analog electronic technology, digital electronic technology, power electronic technology, communication electronic circuits, automatic control principles, computer network applications, microcomputer principles and applications, etc. Practical teaching mainly includes professional experiments and internships. Experiments are divided into three levels: basic experiments of discipline categories, basic experiments of specialties, and professional experiments, as well as two aspects: course experiments and comprehensive experiments. Internships include professional cognition internships and production internships. The topic and content of graduation writing should have a clear engineering application background. Adhere to the principle of one topic per student, so that students' ability to apply knowledge and solve engineering practice problems can be significantly enhanced.

Undergraduate students: High school graduation or equivalent is required, with an age range of 18 to 30 years old (as of September 1, 2025).

2. Master's degree candidates: Must hold a bachelor's degree and be no older than 45 years old (as of September 1, 2025).

3. Doctoral candidates: Must hold a master's degree and be no older than 50 years old (as of September 1, 2025).

4. Preparatory students and visiting students (one-year program) : Age should not exceed 50 years old (as of September 1, 2025). (III) Language Proficiency Requirements:

All undergraduate, master's and doctoral students in our university are mainly taught in Chinese. Applicants' Chinese proficiency must reach level 4 of the International Chinese Proficiency Standard (hereinafter referred to as HSK), and the validity period is within two years. Applicants whose previous academic stage was taught in Chinese can be exempted from submitting the HSK Level 4 certificate, but they must provide proof that Chinese was the medium of instruction.

2. Doctoral students can choose to be taught in English (except for the major of Ship and Ocean Engineering). Applicants for programs taught in English are required to provide an English proficiency certificate. Applicants whose official language is English are exempt from the English proficiency certificate. Other applicants are required to achieve a TOEFL score of 80 or above, an IELTS score of 6.0 or above, or provide a certificate of equivalent English proficiency.

For majors where Chinese is the medium of instruction, students' Chinese proficiency must reach the HSK Level 5 standard upon graduation. For majors where English is the teaching language, undergraduate students are required to have a Chinese proficiency level of HSK Level 4 upon graduation, while master's and doctoral students are required to have a Chinese proficiency level of HSK Level 3 upon graduation.

(4) Economic guarantee requirements

Applicants are required to submit the "Financial Guarantee Letter for International Students of Jimei University", providing a guarantee proof sufficient to cover the tuition fees, accommodation fees, and living expenses for studying in China. At the same time, submit the work certificate and a copy of the passport of the financial guarantor.
