I. The Essence and Core Logic of the Discipline
Tourism management is an interdisciplinary subject with "service experience creation" and "industrial ecosystem synergy" as its dual cores, integrating knowledge from fields such as management, economics, sociology, geography, and information technology. Its research objects cover all links of the tourism industry chain - from the analysis of tourists' behaviors (such as the consumption motives of "special forces tourism") to the integration of destination resources (such as the ecological protection and tour route design of Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area), and then to the operation of tourism enterprises (such as the revenue management of Marriott Hotels). The essence is to solve the dynamic balance problem of "tourist demand - service supply - industrial sustainability".
