Professional Overview: This discipline was included in the undergraduate professional catalogue of regular higher education institutions in 2022. It is an emerging engineering discipline that integrates new agriculture and new engineering. It is a strategically important emerging industry specialty under the national policy.

Training Objectives: To cultivate industry-leading talents who are well-rounded in morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor, possess innovative consciousness, teamwork spirit, and an international perspective. Employment Directions: Graduates can work in government departments, energy enterprises, environmental protection enterprises, research institutions, etc., in areas such as biomass energy conversion, bio-based materials, and design of biomass energy engineering and equipment factories. They can also engage in teaching, research, and technology development related to fields such as forest chemical engineering and feed processing.
