1. Non-Chinese citizens holding valid foreign passports, generally between the ages of 18 and 30, must have a high school diploma or equivalent certificate (those who have not graduated at the time of application must provide a pre-graduation certificate, and must obtain the high school diploma no later than before enrollment), with excellent academic performance. Applicants should be physically and mentally healthy, have good conduct, have no criminal record, and guarantee to abide by Chinese laws and regulations and school rules and regulations during their study abroad, and respect Chinese cultural customs.
2. In accordance with the provisions of Document No. 12 of the Ministry of Education (Educational Affairs Office), 2020:
(1) If both parents or one of the parents is a Chinese citizen and has settled in a foreign country, and the individual acquires foreign nationality at birth, they do not have Chinese nationality. Since 2021, if they apply to enter our higher education institutions for undergraduate or junior college studies as international students, in addition to meeting the other admission qualifications of the school, they must also hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for 4 years (inclusive) or more, and have a record of actual residence in a foreign country for 2 years or more within the last 4 years (as of the April 30th of the year of admission). (Nine months of actual residence in a foreign country can be counted as one year, based on the entry and exit stamps.)
3. Whether the applicant holds a foreign nationality while also having the nationality of the People's Republic of China shall be determined by the nationality determination conclusion issued by the immigration management department of the Chinese public security authorities. If it is later determined that the applicant has the nationality of China after the application, admission, and enrollment, their application, admission, or study eligibility will be revoked.
4. Meet the following language proficiency requirements:
International students applying for the undergraduate program taught in Chinese must present a HSK 4-level (with a score of 180 or above) certificate or relevant proof that meets the school's requirements.
(2) International students applying for the undergraduate program taught in English must meet one of the following conditions: 1) IELTS (5.5 or above) or TOEFL (IBT 61 or PBT 500 or above); 2) Native or official language is English; 3) High school courses are taught in English; 4) Meet the English proficiency recognized by Jiaxing University.
(1) The front page of the passport valid within the specified period;
(2) High school graduation certificate or proof, high school transcript (For current high school graduates, a pre-graduation certificate should be issued by their school. The high school graduation certificate should be submitted before enrollment; International students applying for the Chinese language program should provide their highest academic certificate or proof, as well as the transcript);
(3) Certificate of No Criminal Record;
(4) Foreigner Physical Examination Form (Click to download: "Foreigner Physical Examination Form"; Note: Applicants must strictly follow the items required in the "Foreigner Physical Examination Form" for the examination. The examination content must include all the items listed in the form. Any incomplete items, those without a photo attached by the applicant or without the hospital's seal on the photo, without the doctor's signature, or without the hospital's stamp on the form are invalid. The examination results are valid for approximately six months in principle).
(5) Personal Statement (No more than 800 words. The content should include personal educational and work experiences, reasons for application, study plan, and personal strengths, etc.)
(6) For those already residing in China, they are also required to present the valid visa or residence permit for this entry.
(7) Applicants who are currently studying at other universities in China are required to provide a study certificate and academic transcript issued by their original schools.
(8) Transfer Certificate (Applicants for transfer must provide this);
(9) One recommendation letter from the school where you graduated (signed by the recommender and including contact phone number and email address);
(10) Language proficiency certificate;
(11) Passport photos taken within the last three months (Photo format reference: 35mm * 45mm, bareheaded ID photo, white background with no border, head occupies 2/3 of the photo size, photo size should be no less than 320*240 pixels, aspect ratio of 4:3, file size 100-500KB, JPG format);
(12) A 3-minute self-introduction video;
(13) The school may require applicants to provide additional supplementary or rectification materials.
