Founded in September, 1950, Qingdao University of Science and Technology (QUST) is located in the beautiful costal city of Qingdao known as the “Eastern Switzerland”.    

QUST has a space area of 600,000 M2. QUST has a staff of more than 2000, with 675 of them holding professorship, and 23,443 students, 1025 of them are postgraduates or PhD students.QUST has 7 PhD majors, 49 Master's degree majors, and 56 Bachelor's degree majors.

It has already established Sister University relationship with 24 universities of many countries like Russia, Germany, Korea, Canada, Australia, Japan, France, and USA. Every year there are about 150 long-term foreign students and over 300 short-term ones studying in QUST.



They are mainly from Korea, USA, Russia, Viet Nam, Germany, Japan, Pakistan, etc. Every year, QUST employs about 30 foreign experts and teachers to teach English, German, Japanese, Russian, Korean, and academic courses.

QUST aims to develop itself into a world famous teaching and research university offering academic degrees in Science, Engineering, Business, Management, Humanities, Medicine, Law, etc..
