Northeast Normal University has a group of diligent and creative faculty members and some of them are well-known at home and abroad. Among the 1413 full-time teachers, there are 367 professors, 450 associate professors and 246 Ph.D. supervisors. Among them, there is one academician of The Chinese Academy of Sciences, one academician of The Third World Academy of Science and 18 members of The Academic Degree Committee of the State Council (including all the previous years), 8 professors in the "Yangtze River Scholar Program" , 4 National Outstanding Youth Fund Recipients, 3 national outstanding young and middle aged specialists, 3 professors selected for the "One Hundred Experts Program" (a national personnel development project organized by The Chinese Academy of Sciences),30 teachers selected for the personnel construction program sponsored by the Ministry of Education, and 3 renowned teacher state-level.
