May 16, 2023, to June 15, 2023
*September intake only. Early applicants will have higher chance of getting various scholarships.
3. Qualifications
(1) Good physical and mental health (no infectious or contagious diseases and no physical or mental disorders that could interfere with regular study).
(2) Applicants should be under 30 by September 1st, 2023.
(3) Applicants should hold a high school diploma by September 1st, 2023.
(4) Applicants should be competent in performing scientific research and maintain a good academic grade level. The requirement for previous academic grade level is an average score of 75% and above. NPU accepts international standardized tests such as SAT/ACT/A-Level/AP/IB/IGCSE/WAEC/GED. Applicants may provide other certificates as proof for academic performance.
(5) Language
Applicants should have Chinese or English language proficiency that meets the requirement.
(6) Nationality
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with valid passports. For the applicants who used to be Chinese citizens, they must acquire a foreign nationality and cancel Chinese nationality before April 30, 2019 and have a record of actual foreign residency for more than 2 years from April 30, 2019 to April 30, 2023 (record of actual foreign residency for 9 months in a year can be counted as one year, referring to the entry and exit date signatures).
Applicants whose one or both parents are Chinese citizens must provide one of the following supporting documents:
(1)The certificate proving that the applicant obtained his/hers foreign nationality at birth;
(2)For applicants who used to be Chinese citizens but later immigrated to other countries, these applicants shall provide the certificates of cancellation of Chinese nationality.
4. Application Materials
(1) A copy of the personal information page of your valid passport. Applicants currently residing in Mainland of China must also provide a scanned copy of the currently valid visa page or residence permit page.
(2) A copy of high school diploma (or graduation certificate) and all transcripts. It should be the original documents or be notarized.
(3) Self-introduction (base on given template).
(4) Chinese or English language certificate.
Under these circumstance, Language Certificate is not needed:
Applicants who are Chinese native speakers and applying for Chinese medium courses.
Applicants who are English native speakers and applying for English medium courses.
(5) Non-criminal record (valid for five months).
(6) Officially certified awards, scientific research achievements (if any).
(7) Copy of "Physical Examination Form for Foreigners" (valid for six months);
(8) As of September 1st, 2023, minor applicants under the age of 18 must provide Guardian’s Commitment Letter and Guardian Guarantee Letter (base on given template).
(9) Other supplementary materials required.
Note:
1) For the list of English-speaking countries, please refer to the official website of NPU International College.
2) All the above application materials must be in English or Chinese. Notarized English or Chinese translations is required if materials are in other languages.

6. Scholarship
*Xi’an Belt and Road International Students Scholarship is only given in the first year.
*All scholarship winners must pass an annual review. The level of scholarship will be adjusted according to their academic performance.
*Applicants who meet the requirements are recommended to apply to the local government or Chinese Embassy. Please contact the local relevant institutes or Chinese Embassy to confirm the eligibility requirements, agency number, and program type for applying for the scholarship.\
