To enrich international students' extracurricular cultural life, broaden their technological horizons, and inspire innovative thinking, the School of International Education of Qingdao University, in collaboration with Goertek Inc., successfully organized the "VR Empowers·Boundless Visions–Innovative Technology Exploration Day" at Minxing Building on the afternoon of October 16. Over 30 international students and Chinese postgraduates from Qingdao University actively participated, immersing themselves in the wonderful experience brought by virtual reality (VR) technology and feeling the cutting-edge charm of the integration of technology and education.
At the start of the event, staff systematically introduced the development context, core principles of VR technology, and its innovative applications in multiple fields in a vivid and easy-to-understand manner, helping students build a comprehensive understanding of virtual reality technology. Later, under the full guidance and assistance of professionals, international students experienced various VR devices in groups. From device operation to technical details, the staff patiently answered students' questions, ensuring every participant could safely and smoothly enjoy the immersive technological experience. The scene was lively with frequent interactions.
This event not only allowed students to feel the fun and amazement brought by VR technology up close but also built an interactive platform for them that combines technological exploration and cross-cultural communication. Students broadened their horizons during the experience and enhanced mutual understanding through communication, further stimulating their enthusiasm for exploring the unknown and embracing innovation.
