Aerospace engineering is an engineering discipline that studies the design, manufacture, testing and application of aircraft (aircraft and spacecraft), integrating knowledge from multiple fields such as mechanics, materials science, automatic control and information technology. Among them, aviation refers to aircraft within the atmosphere (such as planes and helicopters), while aerospace refers to spacecraft outside the atmosphere (such as satellites, rockets, and space stations). This discipline is based on the theories of Newtonian mechanics, aerodynamics and celestial mechanics. It solves the core problems of aircraft in design, propulsion, navigation and orbit control through systems engineering methods, and is an important pillar of national defense science and technology and high-end manufacturing.

1．Good physical and mental health (no infectious diseases and no physical or mental diseases affecting normal study).

2．Applicants applying for undergraduate program hould hold a high school diploma and be under the age of 25 before September 1st, 2025. Applicants applying for the Master program admissions should hold a bachelor’s degree certificate and be under the age of 30 before September 1st, 2025. Applicants applying for the PhD program admissions should hold a Master’s degree certificate and be under the age of 35 before September 1st, 2025.

3．Applicants should have good learning ability and academic performance. The requirement for previous academic grade level is an average score of 75% and above.

The global standard tests SAT/ACT/A-Level/AP/IB/IGCSE/WAEC/GED/GRE/GMAT are also accepted by NPU.

4．Language Proficiency Requirements.

Applicants should have Chinese/English language proficiency that meets the application and admission criteria.

5．The applicants shall be non-Chinese citizens with valid passports.

For the applicants who used to be Chinese citizens but later immigrated to other countries, these applicants must hold the passports or the citizenship certificates of their current countries for at least 4 years in addition to the 2-year “proof of residence” in the recent 4 years.

Applicants whose one or both parents are Chinese citizens must provide one of the following supporting documents:

(1) The certificate proving that the applicant obtained the foreign nationality at birth;

(2) For applicants who used to be Chinese citizens but later immigrated to other countries, these applicants shall provide the certificates of cancellation of Chinese nationality.  

(1) A copy of the personal information page of your valid passport. Applicants currently residing in mainland China must also provide a scanned copy of the currently valid visa page or residence permit page. The passport should be valid until October 30, 2025 at least.

(2) A copy of high school diploma (or graduation certificate) and all transcripts. It should be the original documents or be notarized.

(3) Personal statement (base on given template) and CV.

(4) Chinese or English language certificate.

Under these circumstance, Language Certificate is not needed:

 - Applicants who are Chinese native speakers and applying for Chinese medium courses.

 - Applicants who are English native speakers and applying for English medium courses.

(5) Non-criminal record (valid for six months).

(6) Officially certified awards, scientific research achievements (if any).

(7) Copy of "Physical Examination Form for Foreigners" (valid for six months);

(8) As of November 1st, 2025, minor applicants under the age of 18 must provide Guardian Guarantee Letter (base on given template).

(9) Personal or parents' Bank statements of the last six months(5000USD).

(10) Other supplementary materials required.
