Southwest University for Nationalities

Southwest University for Nationalities is situated in Chengdu, known as the "Heavenly State" (Tian Fu Zhi Guo) and the natural habitat of cute giant pandas. SWUN is a multi-disciplinary higher education institute that includes literature, history, philosophy, economics, management, law and natural science. The student population of SWUN is composed of not only ethnic minorities in China, but also Han Chinese and foreigners. The SWUN specialty is the non-degree programs, in which you can learn pure Mandarin as well as languages of local flavor--the Yi language (dialect) and the Tibetan language (dialect).
