The school currently has over 22,000 full-time undergraduate students. It has 18 secondary colleges, including the College of Literature, the College of Law, the College of Marxism, the College of History and Public Administration, the College of Foreign Languages, the College of Music, the College of Fine Arts and Design, the College of Education Sciences, the College of Mathematics and Statistics, the College of Physics and Electronic Engineering,the College of Chemistry and Environmental Engineering, the College of Marine and Biological Engineering, the College of Pharmacy, the College of Urban and Planning, the College of Physical Education, the College of Information Engineering, the College of Business, and the College of Wetlands. The school has two campuses, Tongyu and Xinchang, with a total campus area of 1,500 acres.
