In order to help 2020 new international students to assimilate into their new life and new atmosphere, College of International Education offered a great orientation for them. The orientation mainly consisted of lectures, tours to the university's history museum and some other places, as well as Chinese laws and the university's disciplines to enable new international students to get to know more about the general Wenzhou and Wenzhou University, so as to better adapt themselves to living here.

On the afternoon of 12th October, the orientation education started with a series of lectures taken place on the meeting room at Building No. 3 of the North Campus. New international students, college leaders and relevant teachers attended. Because of COVID-19, part of the new international students could not come to China, for these students lectures have also been put online to get them involved and support them with well wishes.

First, Dean Ye Miao introduced Wenzhou history, geography, culture, as well as Wenzhou University's characteristics and education philosophy. She hopes that new international students could study hard to make their dreams come true. Second, policeman Zhou Wentao from local police station showed new students how to apply for visa and residential permit using real case examples and explained exit and entry related policies and regulations. Third, teacher Wang Dan and teacher Zhao Ruijin from Teaching Affairs Office explained measures on optional courses and student status, and the process of using the teaching and academic system. Forth, teacher Qian Jiangchao from Student Affairs Office explained rules of international student's accommodation. Lastly, foreign teacher Michael told new students the university's disciplines and other matters needing attention.

On October, 13, new international students were gathered to take a tour of Wenzhou City Planning Center, Wenzhou University History Museum and Folklore Museum to know more about Wenzhou's past, present and future, and get to know more about Wenzhou University's development and educational characteristics. In the following days, the new international students are going to start their study and life here in Wenzhou University.
